SPECIAL NOTE:   The spelling of the name "STIZELBERGER" has appeared with various spellings, often   including an extra "t" which  is incorrect.  The actual spelling appears in the cemetery records and head stones, and on the  above sales slip record document .

Part of the pottery mill recently discovered by wreckers that were found beneth the 124
year old Stizelberger home located at First Street and C Street. loaded on a state highway
department truck, for delivery to the state museum. Fred Norberry is standing near the
varied shaped and ponderous stone potter's wheels.  The beam (note paddles at bottom)
was part  of the mule powered clay mixing equipment. Definite evidence has been found
that he mill dates back to the 1860',s, possibly much earlier. (Article of August 1939)
