Redware Vessels Berry Bowl and small Preserves were recovered
from the Stizelberger cellar on demolition of home in 1939,
located southeast corner of Spring and Franklin, Belleville, Illinois.

Part of the pottery mill recently discovered by wreckers that were found beneth the 124
year old Stizelberger home located at First Street and C Street. loaded on a state highway
department truck, for delivery to the state museum. Fred Norberry is standing near the
varied shaped and ponderous stone potter's wheels. The beam (note paddles at bottom)
was part of the mule powered clay mixing equipment. Definite evidence has been found
that he mill dates back to the 1860',s, possibly much earlier. (Article of August 1939)
