COLOR="#000000" FACE="Arial" > </FONT></div> <div>  </div> <div> <B>The COIPS 2008 Spring Swap Meet was held </B><I><B>held Saturday, June 28th, 2008</B></I><B>in conjunction with the Monmouth Chamber of Commerce "Pottery on the Square Event" on Saturday, June 28th, 2008, in Monmouth, Illinois.  COIPS along with members of </B><I><B>The Blue and White Club</B></I><B>, </B><I><B>The Sleepy Eye Club</B></I><B>, and </B><I><B>The Red Wing Collectors Society</B></I><B>  attended. Activities included a terrific Swap Meet, pottery throwing demonstrations, impressive window displays of rare pottery pieces, and an appraisers tent. Newer members noted that on this special morning many horse trades and sales were made between exhibitors as the sun cameup. As usual, we experience a real nice turn out. Many special pieces of stoneware now have new homes.
