SPECIAL NOTE: Each item cosigned in the COIPS Annual Evening Auction now bears only a flat $10.00 fee and registered members may now cosign an unlimited number of items. Every cosigning member will want to note this major change where there is no longer any limit that can be entered, there is no commission rate on an item sold, and that there is no commission charge on a "buy-back" item. Simply, regardless of the amount any item realizes in the auction, only the one flat $10 entrance fee is charged per item. A $10 fee is charged on each item entered in the auction ("Buy-Backs" included).

Special Thanks and recognitions for last years convention:

The 2009 event entailed a Friday night social, silent auction, room hopping buying-selling-trading, 50/50 tickets to win convention prizes, and the award of the COIPS 26th annual commemorative. Special thanks was given to all current and past board members for all their hard work and dedication to COIPS, and to Board Member Jenks for his contributions and past service to COIPS. New Board members elected at the Business Meeting were Ray and Kathy Goodell. Saturday entailed four very interesting and creative show displays, the COIPS Show and Sale, an in-depth and informative seminar about 19th Century Potters, Potteries, and Ceramics, of Upper Alton, Madison County, Illinois, was presented by Greg Mathis ending with a reading of the special poem "Treasures - The Pride of the Upper Alton Mother" by Mary Mathis. We received a great banquet dinner that evening, followed by the evening major auction. Each day a large selection of stoneware was offered for sale by show dealers, and several very rare and unusual stoneware items appeared for sale, both in room sales and the Saturday morning sale and confab.
